duToit Family

Hey friends and family.

We had to say a sad goodbye to the duToit's from JHB, they located to New Zealand as of this month. Marius (Johannes's brother) went over a few weeks before Lucille and the kids and kinda set up for them.

Here's the pic of us all together in our backyard before saying our goodbyes.

Now we have family AND friends in NZ, no excuses now I suppose... maybe one day!!

UK Visitors

Last month we had Pat and Roy come stay with us from the UK. We had a lovely time showing them around and introducing them to our beautiful Cape Town. One of the outings we went on was to the 'Strandloper' (Beach Walker - in English) Restaurant with the Knox's (Natalie, Ozzy and their children Ethan and Chad).

10 course meal of fish, fish and more fish.

Starting with Mussels and ending with Crayfish. Very delicious! The restaurant has no walls, no roof and no cutlery, no cement floor, no ceramic plates, just sea, sand, mussel shells for a fork, paper plates and cement benches for tables. The food is prepared barbeque style, fresh and hot off the fire. Hot "Pot Brood" (Pot bread - English) with home made jams are served all day, adding to the layed back atmosphere of just chilling and enjoying the fresh air, sand between your toes and beautiful tasting fresh fish.

You would think they were paying me to say all of this hey?! ha-ha...
